Terrace for Rantasauna and Barbecue for Village Living Room

Last year, a terrace was built for Rantasauna and the village living room got a new barbecue. The working bee for the terrace was organised by the Guild of Electrical Engineering in the honour of its 100th anniversary and the barbecue was built by the Campus Section.

Renewed Museum of Student Life brings together student cultures of Aalto community

The museum, maintained by Aalto University Student Union, has been renewed and the museum will have a new name. The museum formerly known as the Polytechnical Students’ Museum will be called the Museum of Student Life.

Frequently asked questions about housing and member services during summer 2021

Here you will find the answer to most of the questions the students have in the spring and the summer regarding housing applications, student cards and membership fees.

Students continuing their studies, in particular, should note that it is not possible to enrol for the academic year during the service break of study information systems between 31 July–8 Aug 2021. If you want your student status to be valid in the beginning of August, please enrol no later than 30 July.

Real estate sector working on new housing projects in Otaniemi

Plans for the construction of student housing on Miestentie and Otakaari are progressing at different stages. In total, up to 1,000 new apartments are planned for Otaniemi. Depending on the progress of zoning and other plans, it is possible that all projects will be completed during the 2020s.

One euro for every student — how should Aalto University spend it? Submit your ideas by 30.5.2021

This year, Aalto University is trying something new: Inviting students to decide how to use 12 000 euros of the university budget. The goal of this pilot project is to develop and use the campus in a more student-friendly way and to involve students in decision-making.
