AYY Services Office

At the AYY Services Office you can, among other things, get a new year tag for your student card, collect keys for AYY’s rental facilities, use the internet and ask about anything related to student life. We also help you with questions concerning housing search, keys, moving, renting and apartments.

Services Office is closed until further notice.

On moving days (the first weekday of every month) we are open for only moving related matters from 12noon till 4pm. The moving dates for 2021 are July 1, August 2, September 1, October 1, November 1, and 1 December.

You can reach us by e-mail and phone when our office is closed. Please also note the exceptional opening hours of the telephone service, which can be found below. We will notify you by e-mail of any exceptional opening hours concerning the collection of keys, among other things.

To ensure social distancing, we only let in three people in the lobby to wait for their turn to be served. So please wait for your turn outside if there are already three people in the lobby.

To ensure the safety of our personnel and customers, we kindly ask everyone who visits the AYY office to wear a face mask and to disinfect their hands when arriving and leaving the office.

We will answer calls whenever possible along with other customer service responsibilities. Housing services have no phone service on moving days (first weekday of every month). 


- June 6 - July 2 2021: Phone service is open on Mon-Thu 12noon-4pm and on Fri 12noon-2pm.

- July 5 - July 23 2021: Services office and phone service are closed.

Student card tag for the academic year

You can only collect the student card tag for the academic year from the student union that issued your student card. The year tag can’t be sent by mail, and it can only be attached to the student card. If you need to pick up the year tag while our services office is closed, please contact our member services: [email protected] .

We also recommend everyone to download Frank App to their phone and launch a free digital student card. For students attending only in the spring of 2021, the card will start working at the beginning of the academic term, i.e. in January.

At the end of August and at the beginning of September, we will distribute year tags at AYY’s Services Office on weekdays from late August (August 23) to early September (September 10) 2021. We will update the opening hours on this page in early August.

Accessibility of the Services Office

AYY’s office is located at Otakaari 11. The office is located on two floors. The services office is located on the upper floor. However, the services office is on the street level when arriving from Otakaari. If you arrive by taxi or order a taxi to our office, please ask the driver to drive to the Otakaari entrance.

Unfortunately, the front door of the office does not open automatically. If you need help, please press the doorbell on the right side of the door or call us on 050 520 9400. The doors are locked outside the opening hours. There is a door ramp at the front door.

The customer service desk and meeting rooms upstairs are accessible. There is an accessible bathroom on the second floor of the office with access from the lobby. Assistance dogs are welcome in our office.
