AYY has decided to sell some of its residential properties in Helsinki – more student housing zoned for Otaniemi.

At its extraordinary meeting on 20 June, the Aalto University Academic Affairs Committee rejected the proposal to use pathway studies with tuition fees as an admission pathway to Aalto.

Student of Architecture Suvi Vendelin is the first student to join the Board Nomination Committee of Aalto University as a student member. She attended her first meeting in May 2021 and continues on the committee for another year.

Fuksi committee and international committee organized a fundraising campaign together with Mieli Mental health Finland organization. The Wappumieli (Finnish for Wappu spirit) campaign aims to raise awareness towards youth and young adults’ mental health after the long lasting covid times and in the global environment that is shaped by war close by.

AYY is worried about recent events in Ukraine and strongly condemns Russia’s military operations.
