Wappu is unique and traditional time in the Aalto community. Let’s celebrate the student community, the upcoming summer and the celebration of joy!

Wappu Studio is a streamed studio broadcast organised by Aalto University Student Union, OUBS, Jäynä and Äpy 22.–30.4. A pop-up studio will be set up in Dipoli's Kaleva Hall, where AYY's volunteers and associations operating in the Aalto community will hold remote events and programs, which will be streamed to all Wappu people.

Have you ever thought about investing your money? And have you maybe asked yourself how to invest your money in a sustainable way? Well, we have Professor of Finance, Markku Kaustia, coming to talk at our next event on the 5th of May about sustainable investing. Are you interested and want to learn more? As a part of our sustainable investing and finance month, we have the pleasure of hosting an event with guest speaker, Juho Maalahti from Handelsbanken. He will be talking to us about all things sustainable finance! Are you interested to hear how a bank considers sustainability in its operations? With the holidays just around the corner, we should ask ourselves the question: how can I make sure that my holiday is as sustainable as possible? To learn more about how we can do this, we have the pleasure of hosting an event with guest speakers Carine and Derek from We Did it our Way (https://wediditourway.com/). They are two experienced travellers for whom sustainability is a high priority, and they will be talking to us about how we can make sure our travels are more sustainable. Ota Orienteering is a checkpoint crawl in which the fuksis have a chance to get to know the multitude of student associations in Otaniemi. The night is also about having lots of fun in a great company!

Dissonanssi’s auditions

Dissonanssi is a mixed choir from Otaniemi singing diverse music all the way from renaissance to glam metal — without forgetting to have fun!

In fall 2021, Dissonanssi will organize open rehearsals 21.9.2021 18:00-20:00 at Otaniemen lukio and auditions at Ossinkulma on 22.9.2021 at 18 onwards.

Aalto University Student Union’s Representative Council convenes for its meeting 6/2021.

The first jam sessions of the year, specifically aimed towards new recruits. More info will arrive on Monday 20.9. through our mailing list, which you can join through https://polirytmi.fi/jams

Our first event of the new semester will be taking place on October 16th! We are collaborating with Lagoom, a clothing swap app, to organize a clothing swap event so that you can clean out your closet and exchange them for other pre-loved items; and to of course prolong the life cycle of clothes. Come over to join our first in person event!
