Vaasankatu cabinet and sauna

The Vaasankatu cabinet and sauna are located on the top floor of Vaasankatu 10. The facility is suitable for holding sauna evenings, small sitsit parties and meetings, and there is also wheelchair access. During the daytime (9am–4pm), it is only possible to book the cabinet. In the evening (4pm-11pm), the reservation automatically includes both the cabinet and the sauna. The user must warm up the sauna by themself when arriving at the facility by switching on the heater.

As the facility is in a residential building, visitors must leave by 11pm. Playing music on the terrace must stop at 10 p.m. The city of Helsinki's environmental protection regulations prohibit activities that cause disturbing noise in the vicinity of residential and accommodation premises and care facilities at night between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (Environmental protection regulations, section 22). Please note that the lights will turn off and the power outlets will stop working by 11.30pm.

Sauna: Space for 10 people. The sauna has an automatically heated electric stove and it can be heated from 4pm till 10pm.
Lounge near sauna: Accommodates around 50 people, access to the roof terrace.
Cabinet: Tables and chairs for 16 people, stools, sofas and a pool table (if you like, you can cover the pool table with the cover provided).
Kitchen: Hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher and coffee maker.
Tableware: Tableware (plates, cutlery, glasses, champagne and wine glasses) for 15 people.
Miscellaneous: 65’’ television, sound system that can be used with an RCA connection or Bluetooth. You can also order food directly from the Kustaa Vaasa restaurant on the ground floor, and food can also be heated in GN pans in the oven.

During the autumn 2020 the maximum number of users for Vaasankatu sauna and cabinet is 20 people.

Please note! If you have made your reservation in TILA-system, you can activate an access code and you don't need to pick up the keys from AYY office. The access code will be active about 15 minutes before your reservation starts. If you don't have access to TILA-system, you will receive a key from AYY.

Accessibility information: The yard area is accessible. There is a threshold at the entrance. The facility is accessed by an elevator that is spacious enough for most assistive devices. Space to accommodate assistive devices in the cabinet. Accessible entrance to sauna facilities. The entrance to the rooftop terrace is non-accessible due to steps and the narrow door. Space to accommodate assistive devices on the rooftop terrace. No accessible toilet on the top floor, but there is an accessible toilet in the elevator lobby on the entrance floor.
