Registration for Tempaus opens on 9 September
Have you already heard that Tempaus will be held this autumn with a large crowd? Tempaus is a traditional way for students to have an impact on issues they find important. This time, our goal is for students to highlight the value of volunteer work by contributing one person-year, i.e. 2,000 hours, of volunteer work in a week!
During the Tempaus week on 21 October – 25 October, participants will explore the diverse field of volunteering in Finland and contribute their share for the common good. Additionally, we will host a closing party for all participants on 30 Oct, the Wednesday after the Tempaus week.
Registration for Tempaus will open on Monday, 9 Sept. We invite all members of the Aalto community to join, regardless of their field or year of study. Tempaus is usually organised only once during your student years, so we encourage you to join this unique opportunity with an open mind!
More information about registration will be published on Tempaus channels in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

A promise of free education is not enough
The Ministry of Education and Culture has published a vision for higher education and research for 2040, which is intended to guide the direction of Finland's higher education policy. Increasing the number of university graduates in the young age group to 60 per cent, as proposed by the vision, requires investments and ambition from decision-makers. In this blog, Totti Korpua, AYY’s Advocacy Specialist, discusses the significance of the vision for students.
