One-time housing grant application for the consequences of COVID-19 for AYY members
AYY opens a scholarship application form for its members, through which AYY members can apply for one-time financial support to cover housing costs.
The scholarships are primarily targeted at Aalto University degree students and those who are not entitled to social security benefits (for example through KELA). The application shall pay particular attention to the applicant's financial situation and effects of COVID-19 on the loss of livelihood. To be eligible for the grant, the applicant must also continue their studies at Aalto University in the autumn semester of 2020. The amount of the grant is rent-related and covers a maximum of three months' rent (up to a maximum of EUR 1,500).
The application form is open 22.6.-30.6. The decisions will be announced to the grant applicants in early July.
Applications are processed by a grant distribution committee appointed by AYY's Representative Council. Applications will be assessed confidentially on a case-by-case and needs basis.
