Frequently asked questions about housing and member services

Here you will find the answer to most of the questions the students have regarding housing applications, student cards and membership fees.

The most important steps in a nutshell

New students are entitled to student services at the beginning of the academic year. However, you can apply for AYY's housing as soon as you have received a confirmation of study place. The membership fee payment is required if you accept a housing offer. You can pay the fee when you make the enrolment for the semester and exchange students can pay the fee when they arrive in Finland.

  5. If you ordered a plastic student card, pick up the academic year tag from AYY’s Services Office at the beginning of the academic year. The academic year tag indicates your current student status.
