The application round for the new student apartments that are being built in Otakaari 15 starts on 16 March. The estimated move-in date is scheduled for August 2026.

New student apartments in Otaniemi’s Teekkari Village! 

The application round for the new student apartments that are being built in Otakaari 15 starts on 16 March. The property will have 153 modern apartments that have been designed to meet the needs of current students right at the heart of Aalto University’s campus. The estimated move-in date is scheduled for August 2026.

The first application round is open from 16 to 30 March, after which the property can be applied to normally with the other properties. The first round of resident selections is made on the basis of the applicants in the first round of applications, after which the selections are continued as new applications come in. 

The new property combines modern living and energy efficiency.  Cooling of the supply air, underfloor cooling, solar panels and geothermal heating make everyday life easier. 

Apartments 

The apartments are mainly studios, but there are also two-bedroom apartments and a few spacious three-room apartments. The apartments are equipped with high-quality solutions that make everyday life easier: the kitchens have a full-height fridge-freezer and dishwasher as standard, the bathrooms have a washing machine connection, and the kitchens have plenty of countertop space which also serves as a convenient workstation if necessary. 

Versatile shared spaces 

The building has versatile communal spaces that support everyday life and strengthen the sense of community. In addition to washing machine connections, there are also spacious laundry rooms and drying rooms, and there is a handy bicycle washing area next to the bicycle storage area. Residents can enjoy the beautiful views from the roof terrace, relax in the modern sauna facilities and gather in the club rooms for various activities. In addition, there is a bicycle storage area and storage facilities with plenty of storage space, including practical full-height storage lockers.

 Teekkari Village as a residential area 

Teekkari Village in Otaniemi is a vibrant and communal student area on Aalto University’s campus. The area has excellent transport connections: the metro, bus lines and light rail line guarantee fast connections to Helsinki and the rest of Espoo. 

The nearby A Bloc shopping centre has grocery stores, restaurants, cafés, a pharmacy and a gym. Tapiola’s services are only one metro stop away.
