Club room and storage space applications open for associations
Associations can apply to rent these facilities by completing the form found here. The application deadline is Sunday, 10 Nov 2024, at 23.59.
Applications received by the deadline will be scored according to the scoring model, and each space will be offered to the association that receives the highest score. Tenancy will begin by spring 2025 and remain valid until further notice.
The users must comply with the rules and regulations of the residential building (please read the regulations here), and violations may result in the termination of tenancy.
An open house will be held on 5 Nov at 15.00-16.00, where you can explore the facilities. No advance registration is required.

- A large continuous space where three cage storage units are built. By applying for this storage space, you are applying for one cage storage unit.
- There is an emergency exit from the space to the adjacent association’s room.
- Location: Otakaari 20, basement floor
- The overall condition of the facility is good
- One cage storage unit is 5-7 square metres in area
- Rent €5 /m2 /month
OK20 former Small Guest House
- Zoned as storage space and rented as storage space
- The space includes a kitchenette, shower, toilet, and a separate back room with access to bike cellar
- Location: Otakaari 20, basement floor
- The overall condition of the facility is adequate
- The facility is 23 square metres in area
- Rent €8 /m2 /month The storage space rent is increased due to the water points located within the facility

The proposal for an overall reform of student financial aid is disappointing
Aalto University Student Union (AYY) made a statement on the legislative proposal of the Ministry of Education and Culture concerning the comprehensive reform of student financial aid. The proposal is disappointing because it does not solve the core problems of student financial aid or improve the livelihoods of students.
A promise of free education is not enough

Increasing the number of university graduates in the young age group to 60 per cent, as proposed by the vision, requires investments and ambition from decision-makers.
