Biowaste bins in rental facilities
Starting in September, AYY’s rental facilities will be equipped with biowaste bins. Waste bins and biowaste bags will be available in all facilities with a kitchen. The renewal is the first step in enhancing recycling practices according to the principles of sustainable development.
Olli Tunkelo, AYY Board Member responsible for services, is pleased with this development: ‘We received requests from our volunteers to focus more on recycling opportunities. In our member service team, we are always happy to receive constructive feedback to improve our services.’
Renters are responsible for removing all waste and personal items from the facility by the end of their booking time. Like other waste, biowaste should be taken to the waste collection points located outside the property.
