Becoming a Candidate
The nomination period has ended Oct 2nd.
Each member of the Aalto University Student Union (AYY) has a chance to stand as a candidate in the Representative Council elections. Candidates from all study programs and levels, both national and international, are welcome to run.
As a member of the Representative Council, you gain perspective on what is happening in the Student Union. You have a chance to participate in the Student Union’s decision-making process, develop your own skills, affect student matters and learn meeting procedures. The Council's work is comprised of both council meetings (about once a month) and the work done outside of meetings (reading through materials, workshops and other preparations).
Those interested in becoming a candidate can join an existing electoral alliance or establish their own alliance. All candidates must return a nomination form to AYY by 12 o'clock on the 2nd of October.
