Chair of the Representative Council and the former of the Board were elected

Samuli Vehkomäki is the Chair of the Representative Council in 2022 and Otto Usvajärvi is the Former of the Board.

At its first meeting AYYE 1/2022 on Thursday, 11 Nov, AYY’s new Representative Council elected Samuli Vehkomäki as the Chair of the 2022 Representative Council and Otto Usvajärvi as the former of the Board. Congratulations to the elected persons and thank you to all the applicants!

The former of the Board will make a proposal on the 2022 AYY Board to the Representative Council. The Chair is responsible for the general activities of the Representative Council, such as the preparation of meetings and the chairing of meetings.

There’s still time to apply to become the Vice Chair of the RepCo (DL: Nov 29th) or a Member of AYY Board (DL: Nov 17th). Read more on the other volunteer possibilities on this page.

The proposal for an overall reform of student financial aid is disappointing

Aalto University Student Union (AYY) made a statement on the legislative proposal of the Ministry of Education and Culture concerning the comprehensive reform of student financial aid. The proposal is disappointing because it does not solve the core problems of student financial aid or improve the livelihoods of students.
