Applications for club rooms and storage space open for associations
Associations may apply to rent facilities by filling out the form available here (FI/EN). Applications will open on Mon 10 Nov and close on Mon 24 Nov 2025 at 12.00. Applications received by the deadline will be scored according to the scoring model, and each facility will be offered to the association with the highest score. Associations will be contacted after the selection process in January, and rental agreements will begin on 1 Feb 2026.
Facility users must comply with the building rules and regulations, and any violations may result in termination of the tenancy.
Facilities are rented in their current condition, and associations may renovate them at their own expense after presenting alteration plans to AYY’s property team.
Each association will receive three keys free of charge; additional keys are available for an extra fee.
Invoices for facility rents are sent to associations twice a year.
In the properties on Servin Maijan tie 6 and 10, as well as Jämeräntaival 1, rental agreements are valid until further notice. For the property on Servin Maijan tie 8, rental agreements will end in 5–10 years, at the end of the property’s technical service life. After the usage period, AYY will not offer replacement facilities to tenants, but they may apply for new facilities through the normal application process.
Rental prices vary depending on the intended use and location. Prices per square meter are determined as follows: SMT8 daycare property: €5/m2 for club rooms , €3/m2 for storage space, €4.5/m2 for larger facilities, a fixed price of €10/month for unheated storage spaces. Prices per square meter for other locations: €8/m2 for club rooms, €5/m2 for storage spaces.
An open house will be held at Servin Maijan tie on Thursday, 13 Nov from 14.00 to 16.00. You are welcome to explore the facilities without prior registration.

Club rooms and storage spaces at the former daycare property on Servin Maijan tie 8
AYY’s property on Servin Maijan tie 8 previously operated as a daycare centre, and its former use is still reflected in the facilities. Restrooms have been renovated to meet current needs. Restrooms located in the corridors are shared by associations. The kitchen is not available for association use.
Associations may renovate the facilities to improve comfort at their own expense after presenting alteration plans to AYY’s property team. After the usage period, AYY will not reimburse any costs resulting from renovation or decoration.

Topping-out ceremony for Otakaari 15 student housing project celebrated in Otaniemi
The topping-out ceremony for Otakaari 15 property was celebrated in Teekkari Village, Otaniemi, on Thursday, 5 Mar 2026. Advance booking of venues for the fall of 2026
AYY’s associations have the right to book the student union´s rental saunas, event venues and meeting rooms in advance. On these booking rounds, bookings are made for the period of Mon 3 Aug 2026 - Sun 3 Jan 2027.
Design contest for the Design Notebook now open
Are you the next designer of the Design Notebook? TOKYO’s and AYY’s notebook will be published again in autumn 2026, and its designer will be traditionally selected from among our students. The Design Notebook has been very popular, and we hope the notebook will be useful and bring joy to as many members as possible. The contest will begin on 23 Feb 2026 and end on 16 Mar 2026 at 15.00.
