Fuksi Committee and International Committee are raising funds ahead of Wappu to help reduce loneliness among young people. The funds raised will be directed to HelsinkiMissio’s work to combat loneliness among young people.

According to recent research, young adults aged 16–24 and 25–34 experience loneliness more than any other group. In addition, one-third of higher education students experience harmful loneliness at their educational institution.

‘These statistics are concerning. This Wappu, we want to join forces and direct the funds raised to young people experiencing loneliness. It is important that young people find support and are not left to cope with loneliness alone. We students know that there is strength in community, especially in difficult times’, says Fuksi Major Sara Blomqvist.

At this free outdoor festival, you’ll enjoy live music, warehouse rave, fun activities, and everything else the festival area has to offer. The event will also feature a Roman spa!

This year’s performers include Good Boys, Paha Vaanii, Kuvat, and die Technogruppe!

Wappu Magazine Julkku will be launched in Hall A at 19.00. However, join the queue early if you want to attend! This amazing video and sketch spectacle will be preceded by a cocktail party for Julkku sellers with refreshments and entertainment in the lobby of Hall A from 18.00 onwards. You can also watch the launch via livestream if you cannot attend.

Now’s your chance to enjoy the best rides of Wappu – gather your friends and and head out west for a cruise!

Wappu Cruising is a laid-back driving event organized by the Teekkarien Autokerho. You can join with your own car or just hop in with a friend.
The event starts at 16:00 at the Espoo Car Museum, where people gather before the departure at 18:00. Before leaving, you’ll have free access to explore the museum itself! There will also be sima and doughnuts!

The idea is to drive along a scenic route of just over 100 kilometers in western Uusimaa. There will be a couple of stops along the way for both cars and people to refuel. The event ends around 22:00–22:30 in Otaniemi at the TAK garage, located at JMT 1.

mÖLkky is coming, hopefully you too! 🤩

Come challenge yourself and your team to Otaniemi's biggest mÖLkky tournament at Alvarin square on Friday 24.4. 🥇

Minute beer is a game in which a player drinks a shot of beer every minute for 60 or 100 minutes.

Create your own homemade mead-like alcoholic beverage and bring it to us for an evaluation! The three best will get a prize! The beverages will be judged by Polku, Aalto Cocktail, WhisKY and Jaloviinaseura judges.

The traditional Wappu Beer Mile at Otaniemi sports track on Wednesday 29th April at 19:00, organized by Teekkarisuunnistajat.

In a beer mile, a sports track (400m) is run four times, with 1 mile total distance. In the beginning of each lap, one beverage (beer) is drunk.

You have to bring your own beverages. There are two classes in the competition: a class for those who drink beer, and a class for those who drink other beverages (cider, long drink, soda, etc). The minimum size for a drink is 0.33l and the minimum alcohol content in the beer class is 4.5%.

It is recommended to use the official WÜRTH beer mile cap during the competition. Beer mile caps will be given to those who don’t have one yet. The organizers will put a stripe to the cap as a mark for each completed beer mile.

The event begins with the concert part, with the full symphony orchestra performing some appropriately light music. After this comes the dancing part, where the orchestra's set is followed by Retuperän WBK, PO Big Band, and salon orchestra Jorma.

(Jokes are mainly in Finnish, but music is an universal language.)

After many eventful days of celebration, the happiness culminates when the traditional May Day at Ullis gathers up all students and Wappu people to Ullanlinnanmäki in Helsinki 🌟

As usual, KY’s colors are represented at Ullis 💚🧡 NESU-KY & KY-SUB as well as KY will have their tents from early morning onwards. At the KY tent, KY Board will be giving out refreshments and crêpes as long as ingredients last! 😎💞

We will be dancing salsa and bachata on and off stage. It is an open invitation to all to come in dance and have fun.
