Scrap Bike Collection

Otaniemi bike clean up is here again! This year the abandoned bikes were collected in the Otaniemi area from AYY properties. There are naturally lots of bikes in the Otaniemi area and due to the high frequency of people moving in and out, some bikes are left behind and therefore take up space from other bikes still in use. That’s why these abandoned bikes have to be collected occasionally.

All bikes in Otaniemi were marked with colorful bracelets in June-July. The bikes which the bracelets were not removed from were collected in September-October. If your bike was collected and you still want to have it back, you have until the end of November to reclaim your bike against sufficient proof, such as a key suitable for the bike’s lock.

The pick up days will be organized every week and they’ll be announced in this event. Note! Please notify us at latest on the day before coming by filling this form: https://forms.office.com/r/JZXurqUxnW. Take a photo ID with you and the bike keys if you have them. We’ll collect information on each reclaimed bike and each person coming to reclaim their bike.
