You can pick up a year tag for your student card at the pop-up desk at AYY’s service office.
You can pick up a year tag for your plastic student card at the pop-up desk at AYY’s service office. The pop-up desk is located on the ground floor of AYY service office near the front door facing the Alvarin aukio square. The pop-up desk is open as follows:
Tue 26 Aug: 14–17
Thu 28 Aug: 14–17
Mon 1 Sept: 12–16
You can also pick up the year tag from AYY’s service office during opening hours: Mon, Wed & Fri from 12 noon to 15.00 (on the moving day Mon, 1 Sept, AYY’s service office is only open for moving-related matters). Welcome!

The new Design Notebook has been published
The brand-new Design Notebook is now available and can be collected from AYY service office or Kipsari student restaurant free of charge. The notebook was designed by Wenjia Tang, a master’s student in Visual Communication Design, who won the design competition earlier this year.

The proposal for an overall reform of student financial aid is disappointing
Aalto University Student Union (AYY) made a statement on the legislative proposal of the Ministry of Education and Culture concerning the comprehensive reform of student financial aid. The proposal is disappointing because it does not solve the core problems of student financial aid or improve the livelihoods of students.
