Changes to AYY’s pricelist and rental facility user hours starting 1 Jan 2025
New prices, booking and heating schedules:
Start time of reservations
- The user hours of Servin Mökki and Servin Mökki kitchen will start at 11.00 (previously at 12 noon).
- The user hours of Sievo sauna, Vaasankatu sauna & Takka Cabinet will start at 14.00 (previously at 16.00).
End time of reservations
- The user hours of Rantasauna’s small and large space will end at 6.00 (previously at 7.00).
- The user hours of Gorsu will end on Sun–Thu at 22.00, Fri–Sat and mid-week holidays and the eves of public holidays at 23.00 (previously at 02.00).
Additional hours to the start of reservations
- You can extend the start time of reservations for all facilities to begin at 8.00 for a fee of €50 (previously available in 3-hour slots in four different price categories)
Smökki nighttime user permission price
- The nighttime user permission for Servin mökki from 01.00 to 05.00 is €200 (previously €130/150).
Changes to rental prices for AYY members
Prices are updated for the following facilities:
Gorsu €130 --> €100
OK20 small space €120 --> €100
Ossinsauna €130 --> €100
OK20 large space €150 --> €200
Sievo €200 --> €250
Vaasankatu €200 --> €250
Rantasauna hot tub €130 --> €150
OK20 sauna €80 --> €100
Rental prices for all other facilities remain unchanged.
Changes to rental prices for non-members
€200: Village Livingroom, Otaranta clubroom, Pelimanni, Sitsi kitchen
€350: Gorsu, Jämeräntaival rooftop sauna, Takka cabinet, Ossinsauna
€500: Otaranta rooftop sauna, Sievo sauna, Vaasankatu sauna
€900: Rantasauna (incl. small and large space & hot tub), Servin mökki (incl. Smökki kitchen)
Changes to sauna heating schedules in rental facilities
All electronic stoves will be available for use starting at 12 noon. Therefore, you can turn on the sauna as soon as your reservation begins at 14.00. If your reservation includes additional hours starting at 8.00, the sauna can be heated from 12 noon onward (previously at 12 noon/15.00/16.00, depending on the location).

The proposal for an overall reform of student financial aid is disappointing
Aalto University Student Union (AYY) made a statement on the legislative proposal of the Ministry of Education and Culture concerning the comprehensive reform of student financial aid.
