Autumn Concert in Temppeliaukio Church

This autumn, the Polytech Orchestra performs melodic rarities of the classical music repertoire. The concert begins with works by French composers: the riotous Bacchanale from the opera Samson and Delilah by Camille Saint-Saëns, and the beautiful Piano Concerto by Francis Poulenc. The hypnotic harmonies of Poulenc's rarely performed masterpiece are interpreted by pianist Aron Schulman from the Polytech Orchestra. The final number of the concert is Vasili Kalinnikov’s First Symphony, which melts away the frost of autumn with its heart-warming, wistful melodies.
