We are looking for two bloggers from among our residents to share their tips and talk about their daily lives in AYY housing!
You may be the person we’re looking for if…
- You live in AYY housing this year
- You enjoy being in the spotlight and sharing your daily life with others
- You know how to create engaging social media content
We offer you:

- Guidance and support throughout your blogging period
- Experience in social media content creation
How to apply as a resident blogger:
Send us an informal video application where you tell us about yourself and your home.
Please mention at least:
- What you stydy
- What your apartment is like
- What you do in your leisure time
- Who you live with
- If you have any pets
Please also mention:
- What kind of social media content you are interested in
- Which social media channels you actively use
- Why you’re interested in serving as a resident blogger
- Which topics you’d like to cover on our accounts
- Also, attach pictures of your apartment with your application.
- Tell us how often you would be ready to create content.
If you want, you can also include links to your social media accounts. You can also tell us about your previous work experience if you believe it’s relevant to the blogger’s position.
Please attach an example social media post on the topic “Life in AYY housing” with your application.

AYY’s new student housing building completed in Otaniemi – 153 new student apartments
Aalto University Student Union’s (AYY) new student building in Otaniemi was completed on 31 July 2026. Otakaari 15 brings 153 new student apartments to the metropolitan area, providing homes for approximately 200 Aalto University students. All apartments have been rented.
The new Design Notebook has been published
The brand-new Design Notebook is now available and can be collected from AYY service office or Kipsari student restaurant free of charge. The notebook was designed by Wenjia Tang, a master’s student in Visual Communication Design, who won the design competition earlier this year.
New additions to the advocacy team – Rico Martikainen and Totti Korpua join AYY
Aalto University Student Union has appointed Rico Martikainen as Manager of Advocacy and Communications and Totti Korpua as Advocacy Specialist for education policy. Martikainen started in the position on 25 May, and Korpua on 7 Apr.
