Check that you still have right of residence left. When your right of residence is coming to and end, your tenancy agreement will be discontinued - if needed, apply for compensation for your right of residence in time!
Your right of residence may be compensated, for instance, if you have participated in a student exchange, completed military service, or taken parental leave.

National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL) represents university students in national decision-making. The action plan and policy paper guiding SYL's advocacy work are approved at the General Assembly, which also elects the Executive Board. Government cuts put a stop to the construction of student housing
We are shocked by the recent cuts of the Finnish Government which put student housing and its construction at stake. In its session on spending limits, the Government made significant cuts to the special group investment grants for student housing construction, which makes the commencement of already planned housing projects in the capital region uncertain and complicates the housing situation for students as well as the housing activities of the Aalto University Student Union (AYY).
