We are looking for a service and customer-minded housing advisor for our professional and cheerful team!
AYY’s Services Office located in Otaniemi, Espoo, helps student union members in matters related to membership and housing. Services are a visible part of AYY’s operations, and as a housing advisor, you are an important part of the service team, which strives to implement the vision of our student union, i.e. the best student life in the world. Through your work, you will participate and come up with ideas for the development of student housing. In the position of a housing advisor, you will meet different people every day and help the residents of the student union in their different situations in life. It is important that you enjoy working with people both in customer service and teamwork. You can be an experienced housing professional or just recently interested in the field. In any case, we will introduce you to your duties and the use of AYY’s own housing application system Domo.
Duties of a housing advisor include:
- Customer service and advising face-to-face, by phone and online
- Processing of housing applications
- Drafting of housing offers and leases
- Participating in the development of services
What we require from you:
- Customer service spirit and experience in customer service tasks
- Good communication skills
- Solution-oriented and careful approach to work
- Positive attitude towards development and teamwork
- MS Office skills
- Fluent in spoken and written Finnish and English
What we consider beneficial:
- Experience in renting a home
- Knowledge of the Act on Residential Leases
- Wordpress platform and social media channel skills
- Fluent in spoken and written Swedish
- Experience in real estate or apartment rental industry

Working in the Student Union requires enthusiasm, effective implementation of decisions and sometimes flexibility in working hours. The working hours of housing advisors are mainly between 9am and 5pm. A specific educational background is not required, we make the decision based on suitability for the position.
The work will start as agreed as soon as a suitable person is found. The salary is determined by a collective agreement of the student unions (salary category II, plus any education and experience allowances). As a work community, AYY is very flexible and diverse.
