Exceptional opening hours Christmas 2021 and New Year
Our member services and services office are on holidays from 20 Dec to 2 Jan 2022. On the moving day on Monday, 3 Jan 2022, our Services Office will be open from 12noon to 4pm only for matters related to moving. Our office is also closed on The Independence Day 6 Dec and on Friday Jan 7 after the Epiphany.

Our telephone service will be open on 20 Dec–22 Dec and 29 Dec–30 Dec from 12noon to 4pm and on 31 Dec from 12noon to 3pm. On these days, we also answer messages. In urgent matters related to the condition of the apartment, you can contact the maintenance company.
We will get back to your questions after the holidays. You can submit your housing-related questions using this form and questions about other member services (e.g. facilities and academic year tags) using this form.

FAQ about housing at Christmas time.
When the Services Office is closed, you can return the keys to the mailbox of AYY’s Services Office in an envelope. Please remember to close the envelope and write your name and the address of the apartment you are moving out of. The mailbox is located on a white wooden door on the corner of the Services Office, about 10 metres to the right from the main door.
If you exchange keys with a new/leaving resident, you can return the key exchange agreement to AYY’s mailbox or send it electronically to [email protected]

Unfortunately, it is not possible to have the keys before the moving day on 3 Jan 2022. If the tenant who is moving out is able to make a key exchange agreement with you, you can get the keys earlier if agreed.

When the Services Office is closed, we cannot lend spare keys to the apartment. If you lock yourself out, please contact Securitas.
Securitas service number is 0600 13513.
Exceptions: Servin Maijan tie 1, Servinkuja 2 and Maapadontie.
In these properties, the doors are opened by ISS maintenance company.
FAQ about Member services at Christmas time.
There is a separate enrolment period for the spring term 2022, during which you can change your enrolment information if necessary. The enrolment period for the 2022 spring term is 29 Nov 2021–7 Jan 2022.
Enrolment is done in Oili by paying the student union membership fee. If you are unable to pay the membership fee directly through Oili, please contact your own study office, which will send AYY a request for an invoice for the membership fee.

As of January 2021, university students and students in universities of applied sciences entitled to the services of the Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS) have paid a health care fee to Kela.
If you have enrolled for attendance for the 2022 spring term and been absent in the 2021 autumn, you can pick up a new year tag for your student card from the Services Office from January onwards.
Opening hours of the Services Office
We also recommend everyone to download the Frank App or Pivo to their phone and launch a free digital student card. For students attending in the spring of 2022, the card will begin operating at the beginning of the academic term, i.e., in January.
Unfortunately, we cannot send year tags by mail, as the tag can only be put directly on the card. However, if you wish, you can send us your student card and we will send it back to you with a new tag. If you send your card by mail, please include the return envelope with the stamp and your address.
Bookings for AYY’s rental facilities are made through AYY’s own TILA system: AYY Tila. Log in to the system with your own Aalto user ID. If you do not have Aalto user ID and would like to rent our facilities, please send us a booking request via this form: Facility booking request.
Almost all of our rental facilities have an electronic access code, which means that you no longer need to collect keys from AYY’s Services Office. If you have a booking for AK’s cabin, craft room, studio, van or trailer, you still have to pick up the key from the Services Office.
The access code starts to work about 15 minutes before the start of the reservation and can be activated through your booking in TILA system. Please note that the access code will only start working once the booking has been accepted by the Services Office.
During Christmas time, it takes about 5 weekdays to accept bookings. When AYY’s Services Office is on Christmas holidays on 18 Dec–2 Jan 2022, no bookings will be accepted. All bookings made during this period will be accepted no earlier than 3 Jan 2022.
At other times, AYY’s Services Office mainly accepts bookings within 1–3 days of making the booking.
